Insurance Career Highlights

Jan 1984 - Employed by Reinsurance Company of Trinidad and Tobago and Topped Class at Advanced Scholarship Training Program at the TTII

He has completed 2 professional qualifications in insurance. 1985 Completed the Exams of the FLMI with Distinction in record time (<2 years) averaging 93.8%

1986 Awarded the Alexander Howden Prize for the most outstanding entry from South America and the Caribbean for Association of Chartered Insurance Institute exams (ACII )attempting the entire 9 part course in one sitting.

Promoted to Supervisor of the Life Reinsurance Department Trinre, conducting lectures for over 100 staff members in the Life Industry as well as part time lecturing at the Academy of Insurance.

Transferred to the Systems Department in 1988 and in May 1989 Joined New India Assurance as Assistant to the General Manager (and later as assistant to the Executive Director) with responsibility for Systems and restructuring of and monitoring Caribbean operations as Head of the Foreign Agencies Supervision Unit (FASU).

September 1990 Formed EKTA Consultants Co Ltd. Agency for Caribbean Home and Guardian Life and served Managing Director until December 2023 when EKTA’s Insurance operations were ended.

Joined Kalyaani Limited which was operating from February 2002 on January 1st 2024 after 39 years experience in the industry with responsibility for training and business development for the Agency.

Christopher Glanville

Mr. Christopher Glanville is an insurance professional with over 13 years of experience in the industry.

He specializes in customer service and underwriting, delivering reliable and compliant insurance solutions tailored to our client needs.

Mr. Glanville holds a General Insurance License awarded by the Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Institute, achieved in 2014, and is committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and service excellence exemplifying our Motto “Building Client Relations, Exceeding Expectations.”

Carlena Sarju

Manager Administration.

Ms.Sarju holds a Degree in Marketing from Anglia Ruskin and has 7 years’ experience in Insurance underwriting , HR and Administration, including Accounts Payable and Receivables.

She has had training as Assistant to the Managing Director for 2 years before taking up this position to Manage Daily operations.

She has successfully completed the Agency Licensing Examination with the Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Institute and is responsible for all insurance functions for Kalyaani Limited.
